代々木体育館で開催された「Sports of Heart」の開会式に出演。「新選組」のテーマ曲と「誰も寝てはならぬ」を歌いました。素晴らしいステージに感激！

スーパーヴァイオリニスト古澤巌さんと、久々に同じステージでした！やっぱり楽しい！

最後は、原宿少年少女合唱団と共に「世界に１つだけの花」を合唱！みんな上手でした！マッキーありがとう！
At the end, I sang a beautiful Japanese song with this wonderful children’s choir! The energy was fantastic!

終演後、大分のお鮨を頂きました！美味しかった！これはトラック。動くお寿司屋さん！被災地にも足を運んで、多くの人に食で喜びを届けたそうです。ブラボー！
Lunch in a SUSHI TRUCK from Ooita, which drove up to Tokyo for this festival. Amazing Ooita style sushi and some beautiful sake! They drove up to Tohoku to help out the earthquake victims, too.  Bravo!!!!  I heard US Ambassador John Roos loves this truck, who he invited to the US Embassy!

東京文化会館でシューベルトの歌曲リサイタル「シューベルティアーデ」。新たな挑戦。素晴らしいホールなので、敢えてドイツ歌曲のリサイタルに挑みました。ヴンダバー！

SCHUBERTIADE, all German art songs’ recital at this wonderful 600 seats recital hall. A new challenge for both myself and the audience. WUNDERBAR!

今日は、友人の紹介で福島県郡山市のあさかホスピタル創立50周年記念パーティーにゲスト出演しました。復興大臣も臨席され、福島に元気をもたらすイベントになったと思います！伴奏は、中島剛！

白石蔵王にあるホワイトキューブで、10年ぶりにコンサート。前回同様に、三枝成彰さんと中島剛さんと共演し、とても懐かしく感じました。日本で一番近未来的ホールだと思っています。また行きます！

It has been ten years since the last performance at the White Cube Hall in Shiroishi Zao, again with pianist Go Nakajima and composer Shigeaki Saegusa as the narrator. The most futuristic music hall, I think, in Japan!

1945年に昭和天皇とマッカーサーとの会談が行われた、歴史的な場所で歌うことが出来、貴重な体験でした。

Feb. 14th, 2013, I was invited to sing at the American Ambassador’s Residence. It was a historical moment for me. This is the room where Emperor Hirohito and General MacArthur met alone on Sept. 27th, 1945,  after the surrender of Japan.

今日は、六本木ルーテル教会で、島田佑子さんの児童合唱団「東京ネバーランド」の初コンサートで、子どもたちと一緒に歌い、一足早いクリスマスを楽しみました。

Xmas concert with the Tokyo Neverland Children’s Choir at Roppongi Lutheran Church. Reminded me of my boy’s choir days. An early Xmas present for all of us.

7月に行ったJazz Live〜Night and Day〜が好評につき、第二弾を六本木STB139にて行いました。もちろん、前回と同じメンバー！盛り上がりましたよー。

Visited Inter FM and sang on the The Dave Fromm Show to promote my Jazz Live at the Roppongi STB 139 on Dec. 6th! I got to sing the beautiful song SMILE by Chaplin, live!

いよいよ5都市共同制作　歌劇「カルメン」が、金沢からスタート！11月は北陸3都市、2月は東京と宮城。楽しみにして下さい。

The quintet from Bizet’s opera CARMEN. This production will be performed in 5 Japanese cities. Kanazawa, Fukui & Toyama in Nov. Tokyo & Miyagi in Feb. 2013. Enjoy!
