11月、12月は忙しく、いい年の締めくくりとなりました。
みなさん、有り難うございました。

11月22日に行われた八戸でのデーリー東北70周年記念行事としての「ガラ・コンサート」では、「魔笛」に「カルメン」、そして「トゥーランドット」と地元に縁のあるソリスト達と共に音楽の力を芸術的感性で創れた事、自分も誇りに思えるステージになりました。

It was really busy November and December, but a great way to wrap up my year. Thank you so much everyone for coming to my concerts!

The Opera Gala Concert on November 22nd was for the 70th Anniversary for Daily Tohoku Newspaper. Maestro and the singers from or near the local Hachinohe area, joined together with the chorus and orchestra to sing highlights from “The Magic Flute”,” Carmen” and “Turandot”. I was honored to be a part of this incredible music celebration!

11月24日は、自分自身の日本での初ソロコンサートを行ったカトリックの本山、東京カテドラルで、三枝氏による「レクイエム」を、ソプラノ森摩季さんと六本木男声合唱団倶楽部と共に。

November 24th was a “REQUIEM” composed by Mr. Saegusa. I joined soprano Maki Mori and the Roppongi Men’s Choir to sing this amazing piece at the Tokyo Cathedral, the center for Catholic’s in Japan and also the place where I sang my very first recital in Japan.

12月19日は、銀座ヤマハホールにてクリスマスリサイタル。前半は教会っぽく、後半はミュージカルやクリスマスメドレーなどでクリスマス気分に！with 高田絢子（pf）

December 19th, my X’mas Recital at Yamaha Hall in Ginza. I programed so the first half felt like you were in a church with “Ave Maria’s”, “Panis Angelicus”, and Bach’s” Benedictus” for the B Minor Mass. Second half picked up the temp with musical medleys and xmas songs. I was joined by a new accompanist, Miss Ayako Takada.

12月24日は、名古屋ブルーノートでのスペシャルライブ。今年は、オペラアリア「衣装をつけろ」をジャズっぽくアレンジしたり、マイケルジャクソンを歌ったり、「ミラクル」という映画主題歌など盛りだくさんで、自分自身も楽しかったし、新しいドアも開いたような感じがします。

I sang various songs like Michael Jackson’s “A Place With No Name”, a movie theme song “Miracle” and a big challenge, “Vesti la giubba from the opera I Pagliacci”, in a totally Jazzy style. I think this was people’s favorite.

シューマン「詩人の恋」にて2015年の音楽シーズンをスタート。16曲目が終わった後の静けさで、余韻をたっぷり堪能、そこにブラボー。感激でした。
I opened my 2015 music season with Schumann’s song cycle, DICHTERLIEBE. A perfect silence after the last song, then a quiet Bravo. It was all worth it.

今夏最後の公演は、
「レクサス星ヶ丘10周年記念 JAZZ FESTIVAL」。
The LEXUS 10th Anniversary JAZZ FESTIVAL rounded up this summer’s performances.

レクサスのCMでお馴染みのオペラ「道化師」からのアリアを皮切りに、プログラムがスタート。
Opened my set with Leoncavallo’s  [I Pagliacci] aria Vesti La Guibba,  followed my NY State of Mind by Billy Joel, ending with My Way.

やって来ました、河口湖音楽祭2015。今年は、オープニングコンサートに出演です。
Here we are at the Mt.Fuji Lake Kawaguchi Music Festival 2015! Overwhelmed by this welcome poster! I have to make it an amazing opening concert for the festival, which will last until 8/22.

第2部は、「空と海〜歌劇ラ・ジョコンダ」「鱒」「君は我が憩い」等でスタート。中盤は、松本蘭さんをゲストに迎え、シュトラウス「明日」、「愛のアダージョ」を熱唱。
The various chorus sang the first act. I will start my set with the aria [Cielo e mar], Schubert [Die Forelle and Du bist die Ruh]. As my special guest, Ran Matsumoto will join me with Strauss [Morgen], and [Amore Perduto], after he solo piece.  She is always so elegant and musical.

第3部は音楽祭のTシャツに着替えて、子供たちのコーラスと共に「富士山」「翼をください」「フニクリ・フニクラ」を歌いました。みんな、Tシャツ似合ってます！
Third Act, we all joined the chorus for two Japanese songs, including the song [Mt. Fuji], almost like an anthem for the people in this area. To wrap up the evening, I chose the Neopolitan song [Funiculi, Funicula], which sings Lets go to the top of the mountain! A truly amazing sing along experience for all!  We all even got our own festival T shirt.

終演後、野外劇場の屋根と壁を開けて頂き、富士山をバックに贅沢なショット。みなさん、暑い中来てくださって、ありがとうございます！本当に富士は、日本一の山です。パワーをたくさん頂きました。
Ran and I in the theater after the show, where they opened up the roof and the wall to get the BEST Mt. Fuji. The concert was named the Harmony Concert, and at this point, we were all in harmony with the nature and this amazing mountain of Japan!

大好きなホールの一つ、福島市音楽堂で初リサイタル。第一部は、「鱒」「君は我が憩い」など歌曲で構成。第二部はナポリターナを中心に、聞き覚えのあるオペラ・アリアなどで構成。きっと初めてでも、楽しんで頂けるプログラムだっと思います。アンコールでは、サプライズで福島第4中学校の合唱部と「フニクリ・フニクラ」を共演して、とても充実した時間でした。来年、再来年と継続していきたい。
My first solo recital at Fukushima City Concert Hall, one of my favorite acoustic hall. I sang “Du bist die Ruh”, “Die Forelle”, “Cielo e Mar! from La Gioconda”, “Non ti scorer di me” etc. As an encore, we sang “Funicli Funicla (take me to the top)” with the Fukushima  4th Junior High School Choir, as an ongoing yale for the people of Fukushima. See you next year!

ザ・レジェンド・チャリティー ゴルフプロアマトーナメントの前夜祭で、「誰も寝てはならぬ」をオープニングで熱唱。
「未来を担う子どもたちのために」という意思のもと、王貞治さん、青木功さん、日野皓正さんが実行委員会を務め、病気の子どもや被災地の子ども達への支援に寄付される。（詳細はこちら：http://news.golfdigest.co.jp/news/legend/article/56418/1/）

It was a honor to sing ” Nessun Dorma” at the opening ceremony of ” The Legend Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament”. The founding fathers for this charity are, the world record holding home run king Sadaharu Oh, the Hawaiian Open Champion golf player Isao Aoki and the world-famous jazz trumpeter Terumasa Hino . A part of profit will be donated to the kids who are suffering from diseases and to the victims of Tohoku earthquake.

居場所のない子供たちを支援しているNPO  Kiitosのイベントにて。地元にこんな団体があるなら手伝いたい、と言っていた地元の人もいて、幾つか窓を開ける事が出来たのかな？
At the event for NPO KIITOS, which provides a friendly house for any children who needs a shoulder to lean on. Local audiences who learned about this organization expressed interests to help them. I hope I was able to open some windows for people to peak in!

いきなり気温が26℃になった鶴川ポプリホールでのティータイムリサイタルではベートーヴェン「アデライーデ」、シューベルト「鱒」、トスティ「マレキアーレ」、「さくらさくら」など
を歌いました。シューベルト、トスティー、さくらさくらが好評。夜のコンサートとは違う雰囲気もまたのんびりで良かった。
Wow, it was 26 degrees today in Tsurukawa. A warm and relaxing tea time recital where I sang Beethoven “Adelaide”, Schubert “Die Forelle”, Tosti “Marechiare”, “Sakura Sakura”,  etc. Favorites among today’s audience were Schubert, Tosti and Sakura Sakura.

デビュー15周年リサイタル in 紀尾井ホール。品格ある素晴らしいホールでの音楽活動の節目になる一夜は、落ち着いて歌えたし、声にも透明感があり、また素晴らしいサポーターに囲まれ、温かい拍手に感無量でした。本当にありがとうございます。
My 15th Anniversary Recital at Koi Hall, a celebration since my debut at the Vienna State Opera was a music experience in the most elegant atmosphere and acoustics.  Surrounded by supporters and warm applause, I was able to look back at my blessed career and truly look forward to new endeavors in the future.  Thank you so much to everybody.

毎日新聞社主催チャリティコンサート「未来へ〜Le Cinema」。日野皓正さんとの「Inert Mortion」はチャレンジな曲だったけど、楽しかった！
The Charity Concert “Le Cinema”  “Inert Mortion” collaborating with Terumasa Hino was a new and exciting endeavor!

アイリスオーヤマクラシックスペシャル「ラ・ボエーム」の仙台公演。本当に素晴らしいオペラで、ストーリーも分かりやすく、観客のみなさまも気持ちが入りやすかったと思います。
Opera ” La Boheme” in Sendai.  It is always a beautiful, fun and emotional opera, even for the opera beginners.  We all had a great time.

最後のシーンでは、思わず涙が溢れてしまいました。
I could not stop my tears at the end of the opera, when I cried out “Mimi!”
